The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been disrupted. The villain Thanos has used the Infinity Gauntlet to snap half of the entities in existence out of existence. Their loss is felt everywhere as social and societal structures are thrown into chaos. People will rebuild, in time. But for now, the lack of a Spider-Totem in this plane is destabilizing the Weave, the greater Web in which all Spider-Totems are entangled. You have felt it in your own realms, and the Web has pulled you here, to me.

I am Madam Web, and I monitor the Weave and the Web, and it seems it has put me in charge of you displaced Spiders. But there is a certain symmetry, here. As there is a wound in the Weave of this plane, the Weave has loaned Spiders to hold things together here.

If you are concerned about the villains you were fighting, worry not. They, too, have been set loose in this realm, to enhance your connection back to your home plane. Fighting them here will reinforce the Weave in both realms.
