Rules Reference

Players are Spider-Totems, summoned out of their home universes to "do their duty" in repairing their fellow Spider's "Web" in the face of the MCU's "Blip" or "Snap". Players will be given a selection of barebones datafiles for their PCs, randomly generated by the GM, so:

{NAME} ({Current HP}/{MAX HP} HP)
ROLE: {Role title and description, motivation for advancement}

Armor: {damage reduction}
War Dice: {additional d6 that can be spent as a bonus to rolls or powering abilities}
Force: {added to rolles for displays of strength, like kicking in doors, using
clunky, powerful weapons, or intimidating others.}
Tactics: {added to rolls for applications of logic, like maintaining a disguise,
hacking into a database, or operating machinery.}
Cognition: {added to rolls for expressions of will, like persuasive speeches, off-
the-cuff bluffing, or psychic manipulation.}
Reflexes: {added to rolls for feats of agility, like dodging bullets, using light,
precise weapons, or parrying enemy attacks. This, Cognition, and Tactics covers Spider-Sense, which all Spiders posess}

TRAITS
{Additional powers, knowledge, skills, and other equipment w/ descriptions}

INVENTORY
{weapons and gear, with descriptions}

In addition to any "baseline" powers, PCs will also get an additional "Spider-Power" chosen equally from "Spider-Webs", "Wall-Crawling", or an extra randomly-generated Power/ability.

Rolling Dice

Roll 2D6, add them together, and add the attribute you’re using (Force, Tactics, Cognition, Reflexes).
You can also add a WAR DIE to any roll to change the result. The total determines your degree of success. No matter what happens, the referee always
narrates how the fictional situation changes. It never stays the same, even when things are going smoothly.

RESULT IS 6 OR BELOW: Your roll is a failure. You don’t do what you wanted to
do, and things go wrong somehow.
RESULT IS 7 TO 9: Your roll is a partial success. You do what you wanted to, but
with a cost, compromise, or complication.
RESULT IS 10 OR ABOVE: Your roll is a success. You do exactly what you wanted
to do, without any additional headaches.
RESULT IS DOUBLE SIXES: Your roll is an ultra success! You do exactly what you
wanted to do, with some spectacular added bonus.

Damage, HP, and Death

PCs will not be summarily executed when they are out of HP. If a Spider is reduced to 0 or less HP in combat, they are pulled back to the Web to recover. The GM will resolve the Scene the player was in. If all Spiders are thusly removed to the Web, they lose the Scene/Mission they were on, and whatever villain wins.

Once a Spider is returned to the Web, they must rest up, recovering 1d6 HP, restocking any limited-use items, and preparing to go out again. If a player deems their Spider in need of more recovery, they can pick up a new Spider, and give their previous Spider a break for a full recovery, or a trip home, if they so choose.

If your Spider does not post in a week, they will be removed from any IC Scene they are in and returned to the Web. If they continue not to post, the GM reserves the right to boot the PC and the player.

IC speech should be color-coded. Orange and Red text is reserved for OOC rules and mechanics in IC threads, and Red in particular is for things you want the GM's attention for, results of rolls and the like.

Also, this is a General-rated game. Writing non-General content will get a boot. Please don't make me boot players.

I want this to be an easygoing, laid-back, West-Marches type game. Spiders pop in, team up, take out their nemeses, help out with each others', and try to keep MCU New York safe during the Snap.

Canon

MCU and Marvel canon is being treated loosely for this game. If anyone wants this universe's character, I'm going to give it a 50-50 shot at whether they're here. They may also be different than your Spider may expect. We are all in strange times, and to some degree, the only grounding influence for your Spider may be tracking down and detaining the Villain they brought from their home plane. You and they will be the only characters from "home". Everyone else is either here, or...not.

Rely on your fellow Spiders and Madam Web, and we'll pull through this together.
